Barry Ashworth and Jason O'Bryan AKA the Dub Pistols have spent the best part of a decade at the forefront of Beats culture. From their early singles for Concrete Records to their genre defying 'Six Million Ways To Live' long player, the Dub Pistols have always added a much needed Rock n Roll swagger to the UK's dance scene. Chewing up hip-hop, dub, techno, ska and punk and spitting them out in a renegade futuristic skank they have consistently defied categorisation and exceeded the highest of expectations!!

For Rock The River 2009 Barry the front man for The Dub Pistols will be accompanied by Rodney P, lindy Layton, Scratch DJ Realm and Tom Bone!! For what promises to be the highlight of the event!!!!

Rodney P entered the UK Hip Hop scene in the 1980s. He started out as a member of the world renowned London Posse, one of the UK's first home grown hip hop acts who were highly influential in the development of the genre.

He has had one of the longest and most respected careers in UK hip hop. Also known as da riddim killa, he cites the reggae he heard while growing up as an influence on his dub-heavy music.

When they said the revolution was coming, we're sure nobody expected it to spawn from Barrow In Furness. Uniquely for a man whose albums have constantly sold and whose fan base has multiplied with every sample and beat, Andy Turner's back yard has always been his creative stomping ground. Like he says, 'What I do would be completely different if I lived in the city'.

That's right the boys are back for 2009!!

Well how could we not?? Arguably the musical highlight of the 2008 event! The Funk Rock Jazz Flute Sensation that is The Screaming Citizens return for Rock The River 2009 to play the main stage on Saturday night!

Well what can be said about this man - head of one of the most forward thinking promotion agencies in the world www.worldsessions.com, sexiest man of the year 2008, first man on the moon... More notably this chap has one of the most discerning ears in the music bizniz, having discovered numerous bands and djs, he plays regularly with some of the biggest names in house, dnb, and hip hop, and calls Gilles Peterson a mate.

A singer and songwriter from North Wales. Influences include Ryan Adams, Counting Crows, Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Organiser of Headstock at the King's Head in Llandudno. James Cassidy is a legend of these parts.

What more is there to say?

Using inopportune moments and a musical alphabet as deep as the sky, catfish and the bottlemen are currently traversing a sextet of cities with nothing but shine in the apples of their eyes.

Somehow soon this combination of pockets, testing melody and treason will stumble across your path and leave an indelible mark deeper than hue, fingerprint or membrane on your story.

Cause after all we are all stars in our own story...

The Deadlight Spiral are a newly formed psych-punk, stoner-rock collective of experienced and passionate musicians, from Northwest UK.

We have recently had airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Wales, and a great many other stations and various podcasts. We have been playing numerous shows across the country, promoting our second release, the double single-Deadlock/Temptress, and are rapidly gaining a rapturous following. We are currently in the process of mixing our new EP yet to be named, and are about to get back out there, promoting the release of it, with more awaited, highly anticipated gigs across the UK.
